Swizz Beatz recently blessed his beloved wife, Alicia Keys, with the exclusive and limited-edition Mercedes-Maybach, crafted by the late Virgil Abloh. On Sunday, the music producer uploaded an Instagram post, showcasing Keys comfortably settled in the backseat of the car, along with a heartwarming caption that reads “Keys open doors. Long live @virgilabloh. Gifts from the kids to the queen always”.
Alicia Keys, whose birthday was recently celebrated on January 25th, also took to her Instagram page to express her immense joy of receiving the birthday present from her husband and kids. “Maybach Sundays. I finally got to see my [birthday] gift from the kids and my hubby. RIP @virgilabloh this one is a masterpiece woooowwww.” exclaimed the “Girl on Fire” singer in her post. Keys and Beatz have been together since 2010, and have two sons, Egypt Daoud Dean and Genesis Ali Dean.
Not just Alicia Keys, rapper Lil Baby also recently obtained the majestic, black and chrome Mercedes-Maybach S-Class S680 model, and shared his excitement through his own Instagram post. It was first unveiled at a car show in December of 2021, and designed by Abloh in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz’s chief design officer Gorden Wagener. As only 152 units of the vehicle will be available for sale next month, Wagener emphasized that the “opportunity was really to redefine what a fashion and automotive collaboration could look like”.
